Wilson, whose heritage is Puerto Rican, was born in New York City. At age seven, he began appearing in plays, as well as, a number of Shakespearean productions on both coasts. Blessed with a beautiful singing voice, Wilson also performed across the country with Young Americans and has been featured in shows at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

In 1994, he was pursuing a double major in theater and English before joining the cast of the award-winning television show, My So-Called Life, as Rickie Vasquez, his first as a series regular. From there, his star has risen to guest on hit tv shows such as ER, Alley McBeal, Party of Five and The West Wing, in addition to popular films like, He’s Just Not That Into You, and Party Monster.
